This photo album is a photographic perspective of the Monkees 1967 World Tour, from the viewpoint of Micky's camera. I won't spoil the surprise for y'all who are planning to buy it but suffice it to say, there are some really interesting photos. Even if I didn't know it, I'd swear these came out of Micky's camera -- they're his style. And his captions are terrific too! And in his voice. Such as a shot of the Monkee Express airplane -- "Thank you for flying Monkee Airlines! Please keep your brains inside your body!" There are some great candid shots of the other Monkees, a few wild and wacky shots of Micky doing what he does best -- being Micky, some really interesting photos of Jimi Hendrix, even a few shots of Samantha Juste -- the woman who was Micky's first wife! And then there's my personal favourite.
Micky playing the bagpipes.
Why is it my favourite, you ask. Well cause I am in love with all things Scottish. I even have dedicated a portion of my website to Bonnie Scotland. So to see my favourite Monkee in my favourite country playing the pipes (I adore bagpipe music) -- it's a dream come true (tho if he were in a kilt it would be much better! A kilt of the Black Watch tartan perhaps . . . or maybe a nice, understated Scott . . . or perhaps one of the many MacDonald tartans . . . uh whoops I'm rambling. Sorry.)
Overall this is a great collectible. If you're a Monkees fan (not just a Dolenzkateer), it is a must-have! I know it's something I will treasure always (and no, not just because it's autographed!).
To purchase it, check out the ordering information in the Monkees section of my website.
